sarah walton

More embroidery art to share with you.
I found a cute embroidery art created by Sarah Walton.
I guessed she is doing her embroidery art using the sewing machine.

Though it looks simple, I find it nice to see. :)
You can see more of her works in her flickr account here.

Ink and Tea : Carne Griffiths

I found beautiful portraits via http://www.mymodernmet.com/.
A UK based artist, Carne Griffiths, creates his portrait work using tea and calligraphy ink.
He uses different kinds flavor of tea such as chamomile, vanilla, chai tea, earl grey and more.
His work is gorgeous!

I am in love with the effect of the dripping of the colors in his work.

Yelena Bryksenkova

i found another amazing illustrator via Pikaland tumblr.
she was born in Russia,
and she graduated one year ago major in illustration.

i enjoy browsing through her works.
she used pen, gouache and watercolor as her medium of work.
i love most: her sketchbooks.
i love to see artists sketchbooks - i always look for their sketchbook first, then i browse through their works. it is kind of my habit though.

below are some images of her sketchbooks.

how i wish i can make this as my habit. to sketch.
i've been saying this many times, and i still haven't start with this habit-to-sketch.

and here too some images of her work:

what do you think of her works?
they are very nice illustrations, right?

you can see more of her work here and her blog here.

Choi So Young

she is an artist from Busan, South Korea.
first time i saw her work in the video shown by a professor, Lee Tae Kyeong (sp?).
i was very impressed how she used jeans/denim jeans into art.
at first, i thought her artwork were using acrylic paints or oil painting.
and i was totally wrong.

she used denim jeans to make landscapes.
denim collages.
look at the images below. :)

her artwork is very detailed.

i love, the fact, that she used blotchy/bleach jeans to look like sky or clouds.
